Coping through the final life stages and passing of a beloved pet can be a very emotional time, and it can even be more difficult than dog training! You should not have to go through it alone. We are here to support you and be your companion along your grief journey.
Pet grief support is a compassionate space for anyone who has lost a beloved animal (not only dogs), or who is navigating the anticipatory grief that comes with a pet's end-of-life journey.
I am not a therapist or counselor. There are no clinical assessments, diagnoses, or treatment plans here. I am a companion. I want to be with you so you don't have to travel through your grief journey alone.
In a world where pets are family, their loss can be devastating, but pet loss grief is often minimized or misunderstood by others. You may have heard things like "it was just a dog" or "you can always get another one." But the bond you shared was real, the love was real, and the pain you are feeling is just as real. That pain is not something to push through or get over quickly. It is a natural, necessary response to love, and this is a safe, judgment-free place where that is fully understood.
No two grief journeys look the same, and sometimes you need a space that is entirely your own. Therefore, I offer one-on-one sessions for anyone who would like personal, dedicated time to talk through their grief at their own pace, in their own way.
You decide if you would like your session to be held over the phone or through a video call through Google Meets with the camera on or off, whatever feels most comfortable to you.
During the session, I won't tell you how to feel or give you answers. Instead, I will listen to you, ask gentle questions, and offer insights that may help you better understand what you are experiencing.
When you book a session, you will be asked to complete an enrollment form sharing a little about your pet and your grief story. This helps me show up prepared and ready to support you.
